Have you ever noticed drool on your pillow after sleeping? The reason will surprise you!
Most of us notice drooling on the pillow after sleeping. It’s more common than we think, but the reason may surprise you. If this happens to you, you know the slimy stains on your pillow and the need to clean your mouth when you wake up.
What does that mean?
Usually, people who are very tired and haven’t slept for a long time notice drool on the pillow. This condition occurs during a good night’s sleep, which means that you do not have trouble falling asleep and do not wake up. It means that your dreams are interrupted.
You may have noticed drooling especially when you sleep on your side, but rarely when you sleep on your back. This is because when you sleep on your back, saliva accumulates in your throat and eventually flows out.
Another cause is allergic rhinitis and certain food allergies that cause excessive saliva production.
