Insects are the most numerous species on earth. More than 200 million insects live on our planet right now. They are arthropods whose body is divided into several parts and covered by an exoskeleton that can grow into a shell. They also have special fins, antennae, and often wings. They are usually small, except for large beetles.
There are many types of insects, some of which feed on plants while others feed on meat.
Although we often think of them as harmful, they are very important in maintaining natural biological cycles.
