Mind – Blowing BAKING SODA Beauty Tricks Every Woman Should Know! (#7 is very interesting)

How many of us have an orange box in the fridge that we have to replace every 3 months but aren’t sure how long it’s been? It’s only when our fridge starts to look a little fresh, maybe a little funky, that we realize we’ve been there too long. I know I reach for it whenever I’m baking or cleaning the tub, and I’m always amazed that it can be used in two capacities. But lately, I’ve learned that this little box offers a variety of beauty uses for baking soda because it’s an alkaline compound that won’t stain or aggravate sensitive skin. Here are some great ways to use your new Frigidaire best friend!

  1. A bright smile!
All these toothpaste brands are charging arms and legs with the latest and greatest whitening toothpastes. If you sprinkle some baking soda on a damp toothbrush and brush in small circles for about a minute before brushing at night, you can save a little money while whitening those puppies. However, this is not a long-term process as it can erode your tooth enamel. You should also avoid mixing baking soda with teeth whitener, as it can be very caustic to your enamel.
  2. Reclaim that mane
When was the last time you changed your shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, or dry shampoo? We all have strong brands that we are very loyal to. But when we use the same formula over and over again, they tend to build up in our hair. Just because we wash our hair doesn’t mean the product is gone. Even conditioners (silicone) and shampoos that smell great can build up and become difficult to manage after a while. The next time you shampoo your hair, pour a half-dollar amount into your palm and sprinkle some baking soda on it. Lather, rinse, repeat.. just kidding, but get a good lather and rinse. It will eliminate all these products and you will notice a huge difference!
