Vegetable soup from the monastery
Vegetable soup is a fasting dish, and made as in the monastery, we assure you that nothing is difficult, but everything will turn out very tasty. Few vegetables are needed, also based on preferences, time and skill.

Method of preparation
After cleaning and washing the vegetables, boil the onion, carrot, pods and parsnips in a pan of cold water. After this step, add the pepper, courgettes and potatoes and boil everything for 20 minutes. And before the end, add the tomatoes, spices and oil. After everything is ready, add the vegetables.
Very tasty potato soup
Potato soup is one of the Lenten dishes. Satisfying, fast and inexpensive, potato soup is a favorite of those who fast or have little time to spend in the kitchen.

5-6 potatoes
1-2 carrots
1 parsley root
½ celery root
1 leustee link
1 bunch of parsley
1-2 cloves of garlic
200 ml of cream
1-2 tablespoons of spices for white flour:
salt, pepper, paprika, etc., to taste

Method of preparation
First wash, peel and cut the vegetables, then boil the potatoes, root vegetables and pepper. During all this time, separately, mix the flour with a little water until a homogeneous paste is obtained, which is added to the vegetables once cooked. Next, boil for a few more minutes, and at the end add the finely chopped garlic and vegetables, and after just a minute, turn off the heat and cover for a few minutes. Enjoy your meal!
Lent Bean Soup
Another fasting bread, made as in the monastery, is that of dried beans or beans. The recipe is simple and the ingredients are available to anyone.

2 onions
1 carrot

100 ml of tomato juice
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
1/2 small celery
50 ml of oil
fresh parsley

For this recipe, the beans must be collected and soaked the night before. It is then boiled in three waters for about ten minutes, during which the other vegetables are washed and cleaned. Heat the oil in another pan, add the vegetables and let them dry for a few minutes. Add the tomato paste, tomato juice and bean soup, about five tablespoons, then boil over low heat for about 12 minutes. After this time, add the boiled beans over the vegetables, let them boil for another ten minutes and that’s it. Enjoy your meal!
Lenten soup with green beans
Green bean soup is a fasting dish, which can be served in any season, as it is good for your health, but also helps you lose weight. Below you will find all the ingredients you need, in addition to the method of preparation, you just need a little appetite and desire to stay in the kitchen.

500 g of green beans
3 medium red potatoes
4 liters of water
1 medium onion
1 large carrot / 6-7 baby carrots
1-2 teaspoons of dried thyme
1 tablespoon of chopped fresh dill
300 ml of tomato juice
3 tablespoons of oil
Salt to taste
3-4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
Method of preparation
First cut the beans, potatoes, onions and carrots, and put the last two in a pan with boiling oil for about two minutes. Then add the potatoes and beans, as well as the tomato juice. The next step is to put water on the vegetables, add the dried thyme and dill, salt to taste and cover the pot with a lid. The whole is left to boil for about 40 minutes, until all the vegetables are cooked, then five minutes before turning off the heat, acidify the soup with vinegar or borscht and add finely chopped dill. Lenten cabbage soup
Cabbage soup is not only a quick and easy dish, it can also be a diet dish. Here’s how to prepare it and what foods you need.

kg of sweet, fresh white cabbage
3 carrots
2 parsnip roots
1 parsley root
2 medium onions
400 g of canned tomatoes
salt
a few sprigs of dried thyme or dried dill
1-2 tablespoons of oil
chopped greens for serving
Method of preparation
As for the other recipes, first wash, peel and cut all the vegetables, then fry them in hot oil, then add two liters of water and boil them. During all this time the cabbage and onion are cut and, after 25 minutes of boiling, the vegetables are also added on the fire. Then cover the pot with a lid and leave everything on the stove for another 20 minutes, during which time you add the thyme. And before five minutes that everything is ready, you must also add the tomatoes and salt or pepper to taste. Enjoy your meal!
