Autumn has begun to take its toll and temperatures in thermometers have dropped in many regions of the country. Our body needs additional help to protect itself from viruses, bacteria, parasites or other infectious agents that can easily enter the body if it is weakened. Here’s how we can strengthen our immunity to experience a cold and worry-free autumn!

A balanced diet and a consistent sleep schedule contribute to overall good health
Balanced diet
The most important thing to keep in mind is, of course, to maintain a balanced diet.
In the fall, the body needs more nutrients, such as vitamins A, C, D and E, as well as minerals and omega-3 fatty acids. It is recommended that you avoid processed meat, fried foods, sodas, processed baked goods or products with artificial sweeteners, as well as refined sugar.

Vitamin C intake
Vitamin C. Fresh fruits and vegetables are the best sources of Vitamin C, which helps strengthen the immune system and maintain overall good health.
Citrus fruits, kiwis, peppers and vegetables should not be missing in our diet in the fall season.
Chicken soup really works wonders
Protein helps the body fight colds. Additionally, the zinc in lean meat helps white blood cells fight infections.
A hot chicken soup is not only tasty, it is a natural alternative to antibiotics that often attack the intestinal flora if not administered carefully.

Rest is essential, regardless of age!
Rest shouldn’t be ignored either! A balanced and stable sleep schedule, between 6 and 8 hours a night, will have a beneficial effect on our body and reduce our tiredness. In addition, it will help maintain hormonal balance.
The factors that reduce our immunity
The researchers observed that the reduction in the combativeness of immune cells is the combined result of several risk factors:
- the stress
- alcohol consumed in large quantities
- consumption of tobacco or other nicotine products
- a sedentary lifestyle
- improper diet
